Classmate computers was developed by Intel as a low-cost computers, primarily for school children in developing countries although the machines are also available in developed countries. The Portuguese deal is the first large-scale project Intel has signed for the rugged little laptops. Current deployments of the machines are on a smaller scale, primarily as pilot projects to test how the computerss (from: http://www.office-products-suppliers.com/buy-computer/ )can be integrated into lessons.
Classmate computers is available in several versions, with different designs and specifications. Intel did not say which version Portugal planned to offer through the Magellan Initiative. Financial terms of the deal were also not disclosed.
The distribution of Classmate computers to Portuguese elementary school children, called the Magellan Initiative after the famous Portuguese explorer, was announced Wednesday during a meeting between Intel Chairman Craig Barrett and Portuguese Prime Minister José Sócrates.
Portugal plans to buy 500,000 Classmate computers computerss during the ucomputersoming school year as part of a program to expand computers and Internet usage among schoolchildren. How do I connect an MP3 output to the mic input on a PA system?
I have a PA system that plays tunes from internal memory. It has 1 microphone input only. I want to connect the output of the MP3 player to the mic input but realise the power from the MP3 is going to be too big as a mic has only a small electrical output.
The MP3output/mic input is 3.5mm
You need to get a stereo Male Adapter with a 1/4 jack female on it and a guitar cable at Radio Shack or some electronic store.
